Bubblehouse Creative
Bubblehouse Creative delivers inclusive, hands-on employability workshops for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Set within a real creative working environment, our sessions help young people develop practical skills, confidence, and independence through accessible, design-led activities.
Workshops are carefully structured to support different learning styles, promote wellbeing, and build a strong sense of achievement. Working in partnership with schools, specialist provisions, and Educational Business Partnerships Kent (EBPKent), we support positive pathways into education, training, and future employment.
Course Outline
At Over the past five years Bubblehouse has delivered creative led employability workshops for S.E.N.D students locally in con-juncture with neighbouring schools and communities with good reception and results regarding student/ teacher satisfaction.
The course and placement offers students the chance to hone their creative skills in the production of group projects (working with the provision to identify opportunities in communal areas for graphical enhancement) and 2 individual projects based around two of our key products at Bubblehouse which the students are able to take home at the end of the course.
We offer AQA unit awards in areas around employability, design and various creative arts. We also create work books tailored to the students level of learning which includes relevant maths and English.
Our Mission
Bubblehouse is a family-run business, and our mission is shaped by lived experience. As parents of a young autistic person, we understand first-hand the challenges families face navigating education and the uncertainty of what comes next. This personal journey has reinforced our belief in the power of creativity, structure, and the right environment to help young people with SEND build confidence, independence, and self-belief.
Through both personal experience and years of work within education and community spaces, we have seen a clear lack of meaningful opportunities for young people with SEND once formal education ends. Nationally, only a small percentage of young adults with SEND move into employment, and in areas such as Manston and wider Kent, local provision and supported pathways remain limited.
Alongside our workshops, Bubblehouse has a strong history of supporting education through sensory gardens, outdoor classrooms, accessible learning environments, visual learning resources, and extensive charity work. Our mission is to use this experience to deliver inclusive, practical workshops that help young people with SEND develop real skills, confidence, and a lasting sense of achievement - while giving families reassurance that their children are supported by people who truly understand the journey.
